Caring For Your Singing Bowl

USE HALF a lemon and warm water to wash the bowl—never use brass polish. Play the bowl each day to honor your relationship with it. If you are going to put the bowl on the body you should put warm water in it to balance the elements (earth, air, fire, water, metal).

When you travel with singing bowls, wrap them in newspaper, cloth, or bubble wrap so that they don’t rattle and bang into each other. You can nest the smaller bowls (Babushka-style) in the bigger ones as long as you protect them from each other by wrapping. You can carry them in a suitcase or heavy canvas bag.
